I have found that kids in my 2nd and 3rd grade sunday school class love to listen to me read these stories by Max Lucado to them. They add a great everyday lesson to the bible stories. Amazon also sells good books for children that I have bought by R. C. Sproul. These children's books by Max Lucado and R.C Sproul have a way of keeping the kids attention through the books. And as I said they add and extra lesson to go with the bible story in my sunday school class. These books from both the writers I mentioned are good for ages 6 and up through adults. Absolutely love all of Max Lucados books. Awesome series for kids or present for adults.
This is such a fantastic book. The whole family loves it. It teaches a great lesson that ever child should learn. We have been buying books for my daughter from this series for the past few months and this particular story is one of her favorites. We have two copies of it. One hardback little book that we keep in the car, and one larger paperback that we keep in the house. I truly wish that there were more books like this out there. With so much materialism in this world it's hard to combat it (of course I say that and we've got TWO of this book), but seriously this helps to combat that mindset and helps to direct her towards more important things.
I bought the whole set for a baby shower. It was an awesome gift in addition to all of the expected registry items! )
All of the Wemmick books by Max Lacado are so meaningful for kids and even adults. I have used all of the books many times.
This book is a win-win. I could be feeding my kids junk ideas, poor analogies, false information or half-truths by reading other books. That's exactly the messaging they get in every other channel of life typically - TV, friends, school.

This book is a fantastic message, my kids (aged 10-3) listen quietly and intently each time I read this book and the message speaks truth to the core of who they are and who they are to become.

My wife and I bought both books in this mini-series by Max Lucado. I've read each several times and, considering how energy-filled my kids are, it's a testament to this book that each child sat together quietly as I read the book EVERY time!

This is a fantastic book for young and old alike. It is written by a Christian author, and lets kids know that what other people think of you is not what is important, and no matter what you have or don't have is not important either---God loves us no matter what. I have read this book to both my own children and several adult friends. Even my non-Christian friends have purchased this book because the message and the story is so dear. I highly recommend it for anyone who needs a reminder that God loves them!
You are Mine is a great continuation of Max Lucado's book, "You Are Special." It's a tad long for my 2 year olds, but we will definitely read it for years to come. I really hope they eventually grasp the message of this book, and are able to put it into practice faster and better than myself.
