Alien Indiscretions Clans of Kalquor Book 9 edition by Tracy St John Romance eBooks

If you're a fan of this world, you'll enjoy learning how Basma continues to brew unrest amoung Kalquorians. Ms. St Johnn uses the attraction of Earth woman Cissy to a clan closely involved in the trial of one of the former emperors of Klaquor as a story telling tool. While there are a lot of sex scenes in the book, the romance characters are fairly one dimensional. The real story is a political one. The plot twists and turns as the current emperors and other loyal members of the royal council try to keep their people from slipping into civil war. It's a hard story to tell. Most fanatics are so crazy it is hard to make sense of their goals. But these fanatics are more fanatical than any I've ever read about. They are plotting to wipe out their own species. It's hard to see how so many Kalquorians would think that path is a good idea....especially when the race prides themselves on being so open minded...and especially when they live 200 years (enough time to learn wisdom?).

I'm a fan of the series. I've read every book, I can say with confidence that the Clan Beginning books (men only) are the best of the series. I'd start with those. This book is just ok. I didn't fall in love with the new characters. I found myself skipping pages so I could get back to scenes with characters from previous stories.

And hey, I don't mean to apply logic to stories, but wouldn't women like Amelia have had more than one pregnancy in 6 years? I mean, both human and Kalquorians populations have been decimated, there are many, many men in want of a mate, wouldn't there be a push to at least replicate themselves (4 kids per clan). Didn't she have something like 10 viable embryos frozen? Not that the women need to be baby making machines, but I would expect to see at least one large and rambunctious family. Just saying....that's an avenue for teasing and hilarity in future books. And talk about a way to calm things down...lots of girl babies would bring hope to hopeless clans.

And I have to say it would be nice to hear a good thing or two about Earth men. How cool would it be to have a romance between an Earther man and a Kalquorian woman. She thinks she's infertile but then....surprise! What a great way to give some hope to the women of Kalquor. What a chance to make at least one Earth man a decent human being.

Alien Indiscretions Clans of Kalquor Book 9 edition by Tracy St John Romance eBooks Reviews

There are reviews on this book that really shouldn't be here. If you don't like the subject matter, why in this universe would you buy this or accept an ARC for it?

I've read other "alien menage" series and I have to say that this series is as good (or better) as any out there. This author's writing is easy to read and emotional in impact. The stories are extremely erotic MFMM and MMM is hinted at but not described in any sort of detail. This is all about the woman and she is most definitely one very lucky lady. The matara of a clan is treated with respect and desire. The men in the clan know that she is the key to the future of their people since there are few females on their planet able to give birth.

If you are new to this genre, give it a try if you are tempted by the subject matter. If it offends you, move onto something else. If you enjoy this series half as much as me, you'll have found your new best read.
A storm is brewing in the Kalquorian empire following the death of Emperor Zarl. Suspicions are confirmed, and the Imperial Family must choose between their own family and the good of the Empire. Caught in the middle is Cissy Slater - cousin to Empress Jessica. Cissy is loving the freedom after leaving Earth. What she didn't count on was Dramork Diltan and his Clan. For himself, Cissy is everything Diltan doesn't want in a Matara. Loud and decidedly un-feminine, she is not what this Dramork is looking for to enhance his own status.

This book is all about secrets being uncovered and the ramifications of those secrets. Diltan must confess his own shameful secret to his Clan, Cissy allows her secret to be released, and finds that it is not what she thought.

But for Kalquor, the biggest secret is contained within Emperor Zarl's records, which Diltan has been chosen by the Royal Council to go through and report on.

As a result, rebellion seems closer than ever, and the Basma gains a bigger foothold, with open mutiny amongst many un-clanned Nobeks in the military.

In this book, Tracy St John weaves many strands together, making the romance and erotica almost secondary to the overarching plotline that has been growing in prominence as the series has progressed.

What I love, though, is that since "Michaela" the author has loosened up and we have seen more overt demonstrations of love between the male Clan members, and that it is this love that truly binds the Clan together. This, to me, makes the whole romance aspect more fulfilling, because we can see that it is not just the addition of a Matara that is what brings them together, but that their Matara only builds further on love and sexual attraction in the Clan.

In this book, we also see the nature of the Dramork explored, his motivations and his own needs.

This is another great book in this series, and I am greedy enough to be crying out for more! There is still so much story to be told.
